Areas we serve
IBM Auto Mechanic is at 21-23 Trawalla Ave, Thomastown, in Melbourne’s northern industrial belt, close to the M80 Ring Road and the Hume Highway. Trucks, trailers, caravans and cars come in from across the north for roadworthy certificates, servicing, alignment and washing. There is one workshop; we do not run mobile inspections.
Northern Melbourne industrial belt
Thomastown, Epping, Lalor, Campbellfield, Somerton, Broadmeadows and Coolaroo sit within a short drive of the yard along the Hume Highway and the Ring Road. Operators based in those estates make up most of our work: transport depots, tippers and tilt trays on construction jobs, and owner-drivers who need the truck back the same day.
Growth corridor
Craigieburn, Wollert, Mill Park, South Morang and Bundoora operators reach us via the Hume or Plenty Road and the Ring Road. Caravan owners from these suburbs use the Thomastown workshop for roadworthy certificates before a sale.
Inner north
Reservoir, Preston and Fawkner are a short run up High Street, Plenty Road or the Hume. Car and ute roadworthy customers from the inner north often book here because the workshop is open Monday to Saturday from 6am.
Further out
We regularly see trucks and trailers from across Melbourne and from regional Victoria when the job is an alignment, an axle correction or a heavy vehicle roadworthy that a local workshop cannot do. Ring first and we will tell you honestly whether the trip is worth it for your job.
