About IBM Auto Mechanic
IBM Auto Mechanic, trading online as IBM Truck & Trailer, is an independent, family-owned heavy vehicle workshop, operating since 2014, at 21-23 Trawalla Ave, Thomastown VIC 3074, in Melbourne’s northern industrial belt. The workshop services and repairs trucks, prime movers and heavy trailers, carries out roadworthy certificate inspections for heavy vehicles, heavy trailers, caravans and cars, and performs truck and trailer wheel alignment and axle correction. Welding, electrical and hydraulic repairs, smash repair and a truck wash are on site. IBM Auto Mechanic is a licensed vehicle tester for light vehicles, heavy vehicles, trailers and caravans. A workshop built for trucks
IBM Auto Mechanic has been in business since 2014. The floor at Trawalla Ave was set up for heavy vehicles: room to bring a prime mover and trailer inside, a pit and hoist rated for trucks, and the alignment equipment to correct truck and trailer axles rather than send the job out. Cars and caravans are inspected here too, but the workshop is sized for the trucks.

- Truck or trailer hire
- Mobile roadside breakdown service

How we work
Early drop-off from 6am, Monday to Saturday, and the phone is answered after hours. Inspection or diagnosis first, then a quote before any repair starts, then the work, then the certificate or report. Owner-drivers deal with the people doing the work. Fleet managers get one booking contact, scheduled slots and one invoice.

21-23 Trawalla Ave, Thomastown, in the industrial area off the M80 Ring Road and the Hume Highway. Most of our customers come from Thomastown, Epping, Lalor, Campbellfield, Somerton, Broadmeadows, Craigieburn, Reservoir and Mill Park, and from across northern Melbourne.
